Thistle Holiday Parks may be designated a Holiday Park (i.e. quite big) or a Small Holiday Park (fewer than 100 units). They are all awarded 4 or 5 stars by VisitScotland which means that they are excellent
or even exceptional. The range of facilities varies from park to park and the symbols on each entry tell you what they have.

You have a choice of lodges or cabins or holiday home caravans. All are manufactured to a high standard and are fully equipped for self-catering.  All are owned by the park and well maintained, which means that you can expect everything to be spick and span when you arrive. There is space alonside for your car.

They are beautifully decorated and furnished and may have a verandah. They are designed for easy living and a high degree of comfort,. Most have double glazing and central heating throughout and are, of course, connected to mains electricity, water and gas.

The caravans  are smaller than lodges, but are fitted out to a high standard, with 2 or 3 bedrooms, usually one double en suite and one or two twin-bedded rooms.
They are also connected to all the services, have heating throughout the caravan, and most have double-glazing.  The lounge and kitchen are open plan, with an area for dining. There may be a verandah. Parks provide bed linen, sometimes at an extra cost,; you may be asked to bring your own tea towels and swimming towels.
