FORESTRY COMMISION SCOTLAND

Forestry Commission ScotlandScotland's forests are great places to visit, whether it's for a leisurely stroll, hoonin' down some mountain bike trails or quietly watching some fascinating wildlife from one of our hides.  Forestry Commission Scotland manages forest walks, bike trails, visitor centres, heritage and wildlife sites across Scotland, offering a fantastic day out for everyone. Forests also provide a spectacular backdrop for a huge variety of events, ranging from guided walks and wildlife watching with experienced rangers to larger Easter, Halloween and Christmas events for all the family.

We have six forest Parks across Scotland, where you'll find a range of facilities and a huge choice of places to go:

Argyll Forest Park is a gateway to the great sealochs and mountains west of Loch Lomond; and in Glenmore Forest Park, in the heart of the Cairngorm Mountains, you can explore ancient pinewoods and enjoy an awardwinning beach at the same time! ww.forestry.gov.uk/argyllforestpark   www.forestry.gov.uk/glenmoreforestpark

Glen Affric, north of Loch Ness, is often called Scotland's most beautiful glen (www.forestry.gov.uk/glenaffric).  Huntly Peregrine WildWatch and its friendly staff will give you a fascinating insight into the peregrine falcons and many other species living at the site www.forestry.gov.uk/huntlyperegrines
