CAMPING FOR SOFTIES AND A FAMILY ADVENTURE
If you like the idea of camping on your touring holiday in Scotland or want to give the kids an adventure, but don’t have a tent - try glamping. Glamping pods are small wooden structures; some have only a sleeping space and a table and chairs, whilst others have have electricity, a fridge, a microwave and a kettle. There are also luxurious ones, with a shower and toilet. There will be showers and toilets nearby on the park. Some pods have a barbecue and car-parking space is right outside or nearby. You may need to provide your own sleeping bag and cooking utensils; check with the park.
Length of stay: You can often book a pod for one night only, but there is likely to be a minimum of two nights at peak times...
The price: Prices vary depending on the season. Expect to pay from £40 per night for the accommodation (per unit, not per person), depending on the season, the number of people and the facilities provided. Extra may be charged for a dog.
