LODGES, CABINS AND CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES IN SCOTLAND
Top-class Self-catering at Affordable Prices
Thistle Holiday Parks are top-class holiday parks in Scotland. The parks are designated a Holiday Park (over 100 pitches) or a Small Holiday Park (fewer than 100 pitches). They may have an award of 4 or 5 stars from VisitScotland which means that they are 'excellent' or 'exceptional'. The range of facilities varies from park to park; e.g. almost all have children's play area, but not all have restaurants. The symbols on each entry tell you what there is on the park and in the local area.
You can hire or buy a lodge or a caravan holiday home. Those for hire are owned by the park so everything is spick and span for your arrival. There is space alongside for your car. Caravan holiday homes have 2 or 3 bedrooms (one en suite); a comfortable lounge; a shower room and a toilet; and a modern kitchen. They are connected to mains electricity, water and drainage, and are double-glazed if they are for let outwith the main season. Not all parks supply linen and will inform you of this when you book. Some parks have holiday homes which are easily accessible if you have a mobility impairment.
Thinking of buying? Buying a holiday home on a Scottish caravan park may be a good option for you. Ask the park of your choice what they have for sale and they will talk you through the process of buying, the insurance, the annual pirch fee, and their terms and conditions. It is important that you study these. Go to for a list of parks with holiday homes for sale.
